    SERVICING OR TESTING & WARRANTY STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

    In the case of an equipment service, I understand that this service will be carried out to the manufacturer’s recommendations. I hereby authorise Dive In to carry out those works which are necessary up to a limit of £100 including fitting of the manufacturer’s service kit and additional parts when required to the above value. If any additional costs are anticipated Dive In will contact me for authorisation. I also agree to pay for this service within 1 calendar month of the servicing date, and collect my equipment within 3 calendar months of the servicing date. If I miss either of these deadlines, I understand my equipment may be sold by Dive In, at their discretion, to recover their costs.

    When new parts have been fitted in conjunction with original components not requiring replacement, all efforts are made to achieve the best-balanced performance of the equipment as a whole within the manufacturer’s specification. Particularly in the case of a regulator, it may be tuned to the manufacturer's specifications but be too sensitive for your own breathing rate. With use over time, equipment also loses the performance it had when originally serviced. Should you wish to have the regulator re-tuned to your breathing rate, or should you be dissatisfied in any way with the work undertaken by our service center, please return the regulator within 28 days of the service date and we will make the necessary readjustments free of charge.

    A regulator service relates to those items that concern the function of the first stage, primary second stage and, if fitted, a single alternative second stage/octopus. Any other items e.g. pressure gauge or O2 cleaning must be requested separately by the customer on the “instructions” lines above.

    In the case of a cylinder test, I accept that the above cylinder and valve will be tested and/or inspected in accordance with the following standards,BS EN 1802:2002,BS EN 1968:2002, BS EN 11623:2002 and BS EN 22434:2011 (valve) as applicable and in accordance with IDEST CP 11. In the event of either the cylinder or the valve failing to meet the appropriate standard, it will be destroyed and not returned to me. In the interests of safety cylinders and/or valves will not be returned separately. I also accept that goods not collected within 3 months will be sold to defray costs. I also agree that Dive In Ltd can carry out any necessary work on my cylinder up to the value of £70. If the work will exceed that, I will be contacted for consultation.

    Our cylinder testing prices are as quoted. Only valve service kit prices vary with model or manufacturer, so it is easy to calculate what the likely cost will be e.g. A hydro and valve service for a single cylinder including valve kit costs £32 + £12 + (£14.40 to £20) = £56.40 to £62.

    Twinset surcharge for dismantling and rebuilding: £13. Cylinder failure (scrapping cost) £15

    Servicing prices vary with model or manufacturer, but it is easy to calculate what the likely cost will be. For example:-

    • A BCD service including kit costs £20 + (£16 to £23) = £34 to £41 + £10 carrier if not collected in person,
    • A Dive Computer User Changeable Battery Kit costs £8 to £27 + £5 p&p if not collected in person,
    • A Dive Computer Battery Service Centre Change incl Kit & Pressure Test costs £40 to £50 + £10 carrier if not collected in person.
    • Most drysuit repairs are as priced below.
    • A reg + octo service including one 1st stage kit  and two 2nd stage kits (primary & octo) costs £50 + (£10 to £39) + (£10 to £39) + (£10 to £29) = £80 to £137 + £10 carrier if not collected in person.
